Born and raised in Detroit, Pastor Cheryl completed college in Atlanta, Georgia, and seminary in Enid, Oklahoma, and settled in Kansas in 1985 to work for Boeing as an electrical engineer.

 

She answered the call to fulltime ministry in the United Methodist Church in 1990 as a second career clergy person.

 

She has served in a variety of ministry settings, including as District Superintendent in the former Kansas West Annual Conference, and joined the clergy at the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection in 2012, where she currently serves as the Pastor of Community Justice.
