A Kansas native and longtime United Methodist, Aileen Ball is the founding Lead Organizer of the Good Faith Network, a growing interfaith coalition of more than 30 faith communities building the people power needed to create a more just Johnson County.
Originally from Topeka, Aileen took an unconventional path into community organizing. She holds master’s degrees in Classical Studies and Library Science from Indiana University and spent more than 15 years leading complex, collaborative projects in higher education before bringing those skills to the work of justice.
Before launching the Good Faith Network, Aileen served for four years on the executive board of its sister organization, Justice Matters, including a term as co-president. There, she discovered what has become her life’s work: helping ordinary people step into extraordinary leadership, forging relationships across lines of difference, and transforming shared concerns into organized action and lasting change.
